Parent Device Scheme
The device scheme is now in it's fourth year. Year 6 Parents are invited to purchase a laptop to be used in school and at home through FreedomTech. All lesson resources can be found in each class Microsoft Team - this is useful if the learner is absent from school or wishes to recap the learning from the day. Homework is set using online platforms such as Century, Dr Frost, GCSE Pod and SAM Learning - so it is imperative that learners have access to a computer at home as well as in school. In school, learners may be asked to answer questions or to work collaboratively. Teachers then use Senso software to be able to view learner laptops and the work as it is being created on the teacher laptop. This means that all learners are accountable for their learning, and teachers are able assess understanding in real time.
Learners in receipt of Free School Meals or Pupil Premium pay 50% of the total laptop price with the school paying the other half. Learners who have an EHCP receive a laptop for free as part of their plan. Looked After Children also receive a free laptop.

- 3YR WARRANTY.- THE WARRANTY IS A 24HR SWAP IN SWAP OUT SERVICE, THIS IN TURN MEANS THAT YOUR CHILD WILL HAVE NO DOWN TIME IF THEIR DEVICE IS BROKEN ACCIDENTALLY, STOLEN OR FAULTY.
